Helen has spent her career helping regulated organisations bridge the gap between policy intent and operational delivery. Her expertise spans governance, customer outcomes, vulnerability strategy, quality assurance and regulatory compliance across financial services, utilities and housing. She brings extensive experience in organisational oversight and governance frameworks that support responsible innovation.

Matthew Beard PhD
is a scientist and innovation strategist. Following studies at the University of Glasgow, he undertook research at Yale University and Columbia University, including work in the laboratory of Nobel Laureate Professor James E. Rothman. He is currently Senior Director, External Innovation at Ipsen, where he leads evaluation of external opportunities, including commercial due diligence, deal structuring and negotiation. He brings Semba AI extensive experience in research governance and the ethical assessment of emerging technologies.
